Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Rape suspect arrested: A man charged in a warrant with raping a woman after breaking into her home in the 3400 block of Mayfield Ave. on March 21 was arrested yesterday by the city's Fugitive Task Force. Police said Eugene Powell, 23, of the 3200 block of Kentucky Ave., also was being sought for an earlier burglary and two assaults. He was being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center pending a bail hearing.

Southeastern District

Burglary: St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church hall in the 700 block of S. Ponca St. was burglarized Tuesday but no property was taken.

Robbery: A woman was in the 400 block of S. Ann St. about 1: 25 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed her of more than $40 and a pager.

Eastern District

Theft: A pink, white and black 1997 Honda dirt bike was stolen from the back yard of a house in the 2300 block of Robb St. between March 18 and March 25.

Knock and rob: Two men, one with a handgun, knocked on the back door of a house in the 1400 block of Ashland Ave. about 11 a.m. Tuesday. After a female occupant let them in, they robbed her of a 21-inch television, television cable box, and a wedding ring, all valued at more than $500.

Northwestern District

Theft: A cellular phone valued at more than $300 was stolen Tuesday from a Ford van parked in the 3500 block of Bancroft Road.

Western District

Robbery/shooting: A man was in the 1500 block of Riggs Ave. about 8: 30 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of money and then shot him in the right leg. The victim was in good condition yesterday at St. Agnes Hospital.

Drug arrest: Officer James Moses was in the 1800 block of W. Lexington St. on Tuesday when he saw a man in possession of narcotics, arrested him and recovered at least 20 gel caps of suspected cocaine. Kevin Rover, 20, of the first block of N. Monroe St., was charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics.

Northern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a woman of a $300 money order, jewelry valued at $245 and $22 in the 200 block of E. 25th St. about 2: 25 a.m. Tuesday.

Central District

Robbery: A woman was standing at a bus stop in the 300 block of W. Fayette St. about 1 a.m. Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed her of nearly $100.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: A Browning 12-gauge shotgun and a Remington Model 700 7 mm Magnum rifle, all valued at more than $1,600, were stolen Tuesday from a bedroom in a house in the 800 block of Mildred Ave.

Robbery try: A man who implied he was armed ordered a cashier at the Mars supermarket in the 7800 block of Wise Ave. to give him money from her cash register Tuesday night. He fled when she said she couldn't open it.

Towson Precinct

Robbery/arrests: Two men and a teen-age boy were arrested Tuesday in the armed robbery of two men of a pager, cigarettes and a lighter, all valued at nearly $100, at Hillendale and Orlando roads about 12: 45 a.m. Tuesday. Two of the suspects were known to the victims.
