Knights of Columbus plan Easter egg hunt Saturday

ARCHBISHOP KEOUGH Council, Knights of Columbus will hold its annual Easter egg hunt from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the council home on Becknel Road in Odenton. Children 10 and under are invited. The Easter bunny will be appear. For additional information, call Bill Howerton at 410-674-0143.

The council will hold its fourth monthly breakfast of the year from 8 a.m. to noon April 6. The menu will include orange juice, eggs or omelet, toast, ham, sausage, bacon, gravy on biscuit, pancakes, hash browns, coffee or tea. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children 6 to 12. Carol and Kevin Bailey will be honored as family of the month for their help at functions during the current administration.

Kindergarten registration

Odenton Elementary School will be accepting kindergarten registration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1 to 4. Children who will be 5 by Dec. 31 will need to register for the 1997-1998 school year. To register their children, parents must bring a birth certificate, Social Security number, proof of address and a completed Maryland immunization certificate signed by a doctor, health department official or school official.

St. Joseph's fish fry

St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church will hold a fish fry from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday in the church hall. The menu includes flounder fillets, crab cakes, fried clams, breaded shrimp, crab soup, clam chowder, side items and beverages. All items may be purchased individually and will be sold only as carryout.

Holy Week services

Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church will hold Easter-Lenten services this week. Holy Thursday service will be at 7: 30 p.m. The annual prayer vigil begins following this service and continues to the beginning of the Good Friday service, which starts at 7: 30 p.m. Easter services begin at 6: 30 a.m. with a sunrise service on the front lawn of the church.
