Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Elkridge: 100 block of Valle Drive: Someone unsuccessfully attempted to break into a house Saturday.

Elkridge: 6400 block of Coxwald Drive: Someone attempted to break into a house sometime between Friday and Sunday. No entry was gained.

Ellicott City: 4500 block of College Avenue: A 37-year-old Ellicott City man was arrested Friday after police caught him trying to break into a house.

Ellicott City: 3600 block of Mount Ida Drive: Someone entered a vacant apartment Thursday or Friday through a sliding door. Tools were stolen from the apartment, and the robbers attempted to break into three other apartments in the same block.

Ellicott City: 3300 block of Chatham Road: A maroon 1996 Toyota Corolla was stolen and recovered Sunday.

Long Reach: 8800 block of Flowerstock Row: Someone attempted to break into a house Friday or Saturday. No entry was gained.

Long Reach: 8800 block of Tamar Drive: Someone was observed trying to break into a house through the bedroom window Saturday. No entry was gained.

Oakland Mills: 6900 block of Oakland Mills Road: Someone broke into the Tanning Spa on Sunday or Monday and took the cash drawer from the register.

Kings Contrivance: 7300 block of Eden Brook Drive: Two armed men robbed a man of his wallet Friday, but got no money. The robbers fled.

Wilde Lake: 5300 block of Brook Way: A red 1986 Honda CRX, Maryland license plate DZV-350, was stolen Friday.

Savage: 6500 block of Storch Woods Drive: Someone was observed trying to break into a house Friday. No entry was gained.

North Laurel: 6100 block of U.S. 1: A silver 1987 Toyota Camry, Maryland license plate DLV-992, was stolen Sunday.

North Laurel: 9600 block of Covered Wagon Drive: A blue 1989 Dodge Varavan, Maryland license plate 910133M, was stolen Saturday or Sunday.

West Friendship: 3100 block of Fox Valley Drive: Someone forced open a door of a vacant house Thursday or Friday and ransacked several areas inside.

Glenwood: 3500 block of Daisy Road: Although there were no signs of forced entry, A Honda dirt bike was stolen from a storage shed between March 17 and Friday.

BTC Lisbon: 16900 block of Moss Meadow Way: Someone broke into an unlocked storage shed between March 13 and Friday and stole a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Go-Kart.
