Thunder tonight

March 22, 1997

Opponent: Rochester Knighthawks

Site: War Memorial, Rochester, N.Y.

Time: 8

Radio: WJFK (1300 AM)

Outlook: The Thunder (2-6) could win its final two regular-season games and still not make the playoffs. Baltimore dropped its last two games to the New York Saints, despite Jeff Klodzen's five goals in their most recent meeting March 7. The Knighthawks (4-4), coming off a 12-11 overtime loss to Boston, could nail down a playoff berth with a win. Rochester is 2-0 against the Thunder at War Memorial and leads the series 2-1. The Knighthawks are led by Paul Gait, who is four points away from breaking teammate Duane Jacobs' single-season points record.
