Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Eastern District

Robbery try/shooting: A man was shot in the left side about 3 p.m. yesterdaywhen two men tried to rob him in the 1800 block of N. Broadway. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northern District

Stolen car: A 1979 Chevrolet with tags ZPA 613 was stolen Sunday in the 2300 block of N. Calvert St.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed the Papermoon Diner in the 200 block of W. 29th St. of more than $100 about 12: 20 a.m. Sunday.

Northwestern District

Stabbing: A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the back and left arm during an altercation at his home in the 4900 block of Queensberry Ave. yesterday afternoon. He was in critical but stable condition at Sinai Hospital. Homicide Detective Oscar Requer said a warrant has been issued charging the boy's mother, Angela Roberts, 29, with assault with intent to murder. She was being sought last night.

Western District

Burglary: Cash and property, all valued at more than $300, were stolen Sunday from Bentalou Food Market in the 1000 block of N. Bentalou St. Entry was gained by removing an exhaust vent from the side of the building.

Burglary: Public-address equipment and a microwave oven, all valued at nearly $900, were stolen Sunday from Greater Faith Community Church in the 1600 block of W. Lafayette Ave.

Southwestern District

Robberies: Police were seeking a gunman who they suspect of robbing four people of cash and property, all valued at about $155, at three locations between 7: 50 p.m. and 9: 10 p.m. Saturday. The incidents occurred in the 3400 block of W. Lexington St. and the 3300 block of W. Mulberry St. and two in the 100 block of N. Denison St. Police said that in each incident the gunman wore black clothing and a black ski mask.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Construction tools valued at nearly $1,700 were stolen March 13 from a shed in the 7900 block of Shirley Ave. The burglary was reported Sunday.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A woman was in the 900 block of Foxcroft Lane on Sunday when a gunman wearing dark clothes and a ski mask robbed her of cash and property, all valued at more than $100.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: A large sum of money from a safe and several cartons of cigarettes were stolen from display shelves Saturday or Sunday at the High's dairy store in the 7400 block of Belair Road. The burglar disarmed the alarm system and broke a door lock.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A .22-caliber revolver and keys were stolen Saturday or Sunday from the offices of Painting Plus Inc. and Kohout-Brennan foreign car repairs in the 1400 block of Shoemaker Road in Bare Hills section.
