An Anne Arundel County man and a Washington state man were arrested Friday in Seattle and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, a spokesman for Anne Arundel County police said yesterday.

Officer Vaughn Dykes said Todd Anthony Rogers, 26, of the 300 block of Burwood Ave., Glen Burnie, and Aaron Lee Lord, 26, of Washington, were arrested Friday night at Sea-Tac International Airport shortly after Rogers arrived on a flight from Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

They were charged with conspiracy to murder a Washington state resident, Andre Anthony, 28, who reportedly stole a large sum of money from Lord, Dykes said.

He said the arrests were the result of a joint investigation by the county homicide squad and Seattle homicide detectives.

Dykes said county police received a tip about the plot some time ago and recently learned that Rogers was to fly to Seattle Friday night to meet with Lord. He said the link between the suspects was not immediately known.

"County detectives watched as Rogers boarded the plane for Seattle at BWI and immediately called Seattle police to let them know he was on his way," Dykes said.

Bail information on Rogers and Lord was not available.
