Trafalgar Homes stands out in sales awards

Trafalgar House Residential took top honors with two 1996 Awards of Excellence and one Model Home Merchandising Award when the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland honored Baltimore-area firms Wednesday at the Mechanic Theater.

The 20th Award of Excellence competition recognized homebuilders in the Baltimore metropolitan area "who provide buyers with excellence in design, livability and value in single-family detached, single-family attached, multifamily and custom homes."

Given for the first time, the Model Home Merchandising Award salutes builders and interior designers who do the best job of decorating model homes.

Aoki Homes and Keystone Homes also won two Awards of Excellence

Tim Naughton of Ryan Homes was named 1996 Sales Manager of the Year.

Questar Homes' Lou Chirgott, the Multifamily Salesperson of the Year, won the Sales Excellence Award for 1996.

Other honors went to Wendy Buckingham of Pulte Homes, Single-Family Detached Salesperson of the Year; Shawn Fortney Builder's 1st Choice/PCS Homes, Single-Family Attached Sales Person of the Year; Terry Riley, Ryan Homes, Multiple Product Sales Person of the Year; and Phil Marcheso, Pulte Homes, Rookie Salesperson of the Year.

Judges rated entries on floor plan layout, quality and convenience features, overall design and value.
