Jessup: A $2,000 riding lawn mower was stolen from the lawn of the Parkway Motel in the 7900 block of Clark Road between 2 p.m. and 2: 30 p.m. Wednesday.

Laurel: Someone broke into a tool box left in a 1994 Ford parked at J. W. Rodgers Garage Door Co. in the 400 block of Old Line Ave. between midnight Sunday and 6: 30 a.m. Monday and stole tools valued at $871.

North county

Linthicum: Someone stole the vinyl top off a 1992 Isuzu Amigo between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday while it was parked in the 600 block of Hammonds Ferry Road. The top was valued at $550.

Central county

Severna Park: Someone broke into a home in the 500 block of Arundel Drive before 2: 30 p.m. Tuesday and stole a compact disc player, 25 CDs and a carying case, all valued at $620.

East county

Sillery on the Bay: Vandals set fire to a wooden piece of playground equipment in the 200 block of Beach Road about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Pasadena: Someone stole a miter box and tools from a 1969 Chevrolet truck between 7: 30 a.m. and 7: 45 a.m. Tuesday while it was parked at the Southdale Hechinger's.
