John Walter Marcinski, 67, ownered insurance company

John Walter Marcinski, who owned and operated insurance and real estate companies in Baltimore, died of respiratory failure Sunday at home in Hobe Sound, Fla. He was 67.

He established the John W. Marcinski Insurance Co. and Marcinski Real Estate Agency, both in North Baltimore in the late 1950s. He retired in 1984 and moved to Florida.

He served in the Army from 1952 to 1954 and fought in the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 183 in Baltimore and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Hobe Sound.

He married Lillian Parzynski in 1948 and they divorced in 1971.

Services will be held today in Florida.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Marcinski of Melbourne, Fla., and Harold Kopp of North Fort Myers, Fla.; three daughters, Susan Joy of Drayden, Lisa Parker of Bokeelia, Fla., and Kathy Marcinski of Pine Island, Fla.; his mother, Cecilia Marcinski of Baltimore; two brothers, Stan Marcinski of Baltimore and Walter Marcinski of Macon, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
