Bullets tonight

March 12, 1997

Opponent: Vancouver Grizzlies

Site: USAir Arena, Landover

Time: 7: 30

Radio: WWRC (980 AM)

Outlook: After losing to the Philadelphia 76ers, the fourth-worst team in the league on Sunday, the Bullets hope to avoid getting swept by the worst team in the league -- the Vancouver Grizzlies (the Bullets lost in Vancouver on Dec. 22). Vancouver's losing streak reached 10 games with last night's loss to Charlotte. The second-year team is led by two inexperienced players: F Shareef Abdur-Rahim (18.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg) is making a run at Rookie of the Year honors, and C Bryant Reeves (15.5 ppg, 8.1 rpg) is showing signs in his second season of being a promising center. The Bullets expect F Chris Webber, who has missed eight of the past 12 games with a combination strained back and right hip flexor injury, to play.
