4. St. Joseph's

Record: 24-6.

Location: Philadelphia; Atlantic 10 Conference (East).

Conference finish: First in Atlantic 10 East.

5. Boston College

Conference finish: Tied for first in Big East 6, won conference tournament.

Scouting report: Abrams (point-rebound double doubles in his last two games) and Woodward (double-figure scoring in six of last eight games) are peaking at the right time for the Eagles. BC hits 37.6 percent of its three-point tries, and has hit 40 percent 10 times this season (nine wins).

6. Stanford

Scouting report: The Cardinal likes to shoot the three-pointer. As a team Stanford shoots better than 40 percent from beyond the arc and has made at least 10 treys in a game 10 times this season.

7. UNC-Charlotte

Scouting report: After an 18-year career as 49ers assistant, Watkins had the most successful season for a first-year coach at UNC-Charlotte since the 1975-76 season. The 49ers had won nine of 10 before losing to Marquette on Saturday.

8. Iowa
