Bowie women win in OT to advance

KENNESAW, Ga. -- Rashida Brooks scored 26 points and Brandey Lemons added 22 yesterday as Bowie State's women defeated Georgia College, 75-63, in overtime in an NCAA Division II South Atlantic Regional semifinal.

Lemons scored nine points in the extra period, including six of the Bulldogs' first 10 as Bowie State (29-1) took a 63-55 lead.

Georgia College (23-8) cut its deficit to 63-57 after a layup by Christy Walker before the Bulldogs got two free throws each from Brenonda Jackson and Lemons to move ahead 67-57 with 1: 04 left.
