Spring forums on education set by Parham

March 07, 1997

Carol S. Parham, Anne Arundel County superintendent of schools, has scheduled a series of spring forums to answer questions on education issues from parents, teachers and others.

Forums planned for school employees are held immediately after school. Evening sessions are held for residents.

Budget priorities, teacher-student ratios and standardized testing were among the most discussed subjects at the fall forums. Heads of various school departments often attend the forums to give detailed answers to parents.

All forums are on Mondays.

Teacher meetings are at 3: 30 p.m., community sessions at 6 p.m.

The dates are:

Monday, for Arundel, Meade and Southern feeder systems at Van Bokkelen Elementary School in the afternoon and Lothian Elementary School in the evening.

March 17, for Annapolis, Broadneck and South River feeder systems at Mayo Elementary School in the afternoon and Central Middle School in the evening.

March 24, for Chesapeake, Glen Burnie and Severna Park feeder systems at Lake Shore Elementary School in the afternoon and Quarterfield Elementary School in the evening.

April 7, for North County, Northeast and Old Mill feeder systems at Belle Grove Elementary School in the afternoon and Old Mill Middle School South in the evening.
