Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northern District

Bank robbery: A man robbed the Signet Bank in the 5100 block of Roland Ave. about 11: 15 a.m. Wednesday after giving a teller a holdup note.

Carjacking: A woman was parking her Nissan Pulsar with tags VFG 688 in the 2600 block of Guilford Ave. about 9: 30 p.m. Wednesday when a man pulled her out of the vehicle and drove off.

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone, running equipment and a gym bag, all valued at $600, were stolen Wednesday from a 1990 Jeep parked in the 3800 block of Roland Ave.

Northwestern District

Stolen car: A 1991 Honda Accord with tags DND 458 was stolen Wednesday in the 3600 block of Clarinth Road.

Burglary: Stereo equipment valued at $400 was stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from Emmanuel Temple Gospel Church in the 4100 block of Reisterstown Road.

Western District

Burglary: Computer equipment valued at $2,000 was stolen Wednesday from Specialized Medical Supply Inc. in the first block of N. Carey St.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of nearly $100 about 5: 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of Edmondson Ave.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: A gunman ordered a man out of his 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee with tags 896351M in the 1800 block of N. Rosedale St. about 4: 15 p.m. Wednesday and drove off.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed Popeye's of Edmondson, a restaurant in the 4400 block of Edmondson Ave., at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Central District

Robbery: A robber placed an unknown weapon in the back of an attendant at Apco parking in the 200 block of W. Franklin St. at 9 a.m. Wednesday and robbed him of a small sum of money.

Burglary: A 200-pound safe containing more than $1,000 was stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 400 block of Laurens St.

Burglary: Jewelry valued at $5,000 was stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 2100 block of Bolton St.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: Two gunmen robbed J. Brown Jewelers in the 1800 block of Reisterstown Road in Pikesville about 2 p.m. yesterday. One of the robbers used his weapon to break open at least one display case and loot it.

Wilkens Precinct

Bank robbery: A man who robbed the First Virginia Bank in the 900 block of Frederick Road in Catonsville about 12: 25 p.m. yesterday was driving his getaway car when a dye pack hidden in the money exploded, filling the car with a red dye. Police said the man continued to drive and was being sought.

Robbery: A gunman robbed the McDonald's restaurant in the 3200 block of Washington Blvd. in Halethorpe about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Robbery: After placing candy on the counter in the 7-Eleven store in the 400 block of Frederick Road about 1 a.m. yesterday, a customer jumped over the counter and removed $10 from the cash register.
