For the latest in golf clubs, golf vacations, clothing and collectibles, go to the Mid-Atlantic Golf and Travel Show this weekend at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro. Throughout the event, you can participate in clinics given by golf pros, enter a $10,000 putting contest, participate in a long-drive contest, and have your swing analyzed. More than 200 booths will feature every kind of golf-related product, from cleaning kits to golf carts.

The Show Place Arena is at 14900 Pennsylvania Ave. Show hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7. Call (301) 952-7900. Violinist Isaac Stern will perform on his Guarnerius del Gesu violin, whose robust tone he prefers over the Stradivari, at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Hershey Theatre in Hershey, Pa. Stern, who made his formal orchestral debut in 1936 at the age of 16 and has appeared on the world's most prestigious concert stages, will be accompanied by pianist Robert McDonald. Saturday's program includes Sonata in E minor by Johann Sebastian Bach and Sonata No. 1 in G major by Johannes Brahms.
