Discover the challenge of coin collecting at the Baltimore Coin & Currency Show at the Convention Center this weekend.

More than 600 dealers from all over the country will present their unique, rare and valuable coins and paper money. Buy, sell and trade, sit in on educational programs and learn all about the history of money.

The show will run 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at the Baltimore Convention Center, 1 W. Pratt St. Free. Call (301) 424-1876. Watch a performance of illusion, pantomime and physical comedy as the Great Vaudeville Magic Show comes to the Gordon Center Sunday. Landis & Company Theatre of Magic creates a theatrical experience for all ages that tells the story of Alexi the Ukrainian Wonder and his rise from street performer to vaudeville star.

Don't look away or you'll miss Alexi's amazing antics, which include a lady being sawed in half with a laser beam, another floating in thin air and animals that disappear and reappear in a wink.

The show will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave. in Owings Mills. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Call (410) 356-SHOW.
