Bond reduced to $336,000 for Hawk Ridge

The Sykesville Town Council has reduced the bond for the developer of Hawk Ridge Farms to $336,000.

The town holds the bond money in escrow in case the builder fails to complete the public works agreement for roads, sidewalks and stormwater management.

The town engineer and building inspector recommended the reduction after an on-site review of construction at the north end of town.

The original bond for the final two phases of the development was $780,000. Several months ago, that amount was reduced to $444,000.
