Glen Burnie man killed by car on Mountain Road

A Glen Burnie man was killed when an unidentified driver in a minivan struck him as he crossed Mountain Road, Route 177, near Mansion House Crossing.

Brian J. Beacom, 29, of the 200 block of Scotts Manor Drive had left Lightning Jacks Bar in the 2800 block of Mountain Road shortly after midnight Saturday when a driver struck and ran over him in the eastbound lane, county police said.

The driver fled the accident, continuing east toward Edwin Raynor Boulevard, police said.

Beacom was taken to North Arundel Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12: 29 a.m. of multiple injuries, police said.
