Woman is arrested on assault, drug charges

March 04, 1997

A Glen Burnie woman allegedly held a knife to another woman's throat outside the Speak Easy bar on Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard in a dispute over cologne, police said.

While arresting the suspect, police said, they discovered a car filled with drug paraphernalia.

Brenda Lee Doss, 37, of Stevens Road, was charged with threatening Lisa Michele Knapp, 29, of Baltimore, with a knife Thursday night, police said.

Officer Rose Ballard arrested Doss -- who was riding with Sharron M. Reggy of Baltimore in a 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Howard E. Fallin of Pasadena -- at Route 648 and McGuirk Drive.

While searching for a knife, police said, the officer found two drug pipes, a copper screen with residue, a syringe and rolling papers. Doss also found a knife and its box, they said.

Doss was charged with assault and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. Doss, Fallin and Reggy were taken to the Northern District for processing on paraphernalia charges, police said.
