March 6: An elderly lady, while crossing Eutaw St., at Fayette St., yesterday, was thrown down by a hog, which was being chased by a boy, and severely injured, receiving an ugly cut in the forehead.

50 years ago in The Sun

March 3: Antiquarians in the Fire Department prompted by the May Company fire of Monday night, went through department records and found that only three members who fought the great Baltimore fire of 1904 still remain in the service.
