Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Elkridge: 6800 block of Deerpath Road: Someone broke into a building Saturday by prying open an office door. Several desks and file cabinets were pried open, and cash and postage stamps were stolen.

Long Reach: 8300 block of Tamar Drive. Someone broke into a house Monday by smashing a glass patio door; a stereo, jewelry, cologne, clothes and a videocassette recorder were stolen.

Wilde Lake: 10500 block of Twin Rivers Road. A blue 1991 Ford Escort, Maryland license plate DKM124, was stolen Saturday.

Savage: 8300 block of U.S. Route 1. A blue 1988 Dodge Caravan, no tags, was stolen Sunday.

Glenelg: 12700 block of Folly Quarter Road. Someone broke into Glenelg Country School Saturday by smashing a window pane on the front door to the administration building. A soda machine key was taken, and cans of soda were stolen.

Sykesville: 1100 block of Route 32. Someone broke into a house Monday, and a videocassette recorder was stolen.
