Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Eastern District

Armed robbery: A man was standing in the 1600 block of Cliftview Ave. Saturday when a gunman stuck a handgun in his side and robbed him of $80.

Robbery: A man was walking in the 700 block of Rutland Ave. on Saturday when someone pulled him into an alley, beat him and robbed him of $73.

Northeastern District

Assault: A cabdriver picked up a passenger at North Avenue and Belair Road about 7 p.m. Sunday and drove to the 1400 block of Homestead St. The passenger paid the fare, got out of the cab and walked to the driver's side, pointed a pellet rifle at him and told him to get out of the cab. As the driver hit the gas and sped off, the passenger fired two shots at the cab but missed.

Armed robbery: An 18-year-old man was walking in the 2900 block of Louise Ave. about 9 p.m. Sunday when he was approached from behind by two men. One of the men pulled a black handgun and pointed it at the victim, while the second man went through his pockets, taking $26 in cash.

Western District

Armed robbery: Two men who implied they had a gun robbed a man of $23 in the 2400 block of Woodbrook Ave. on Saturday.

Burglary: Someone broke in through the front door of a residence in the 1500 block of Stricker St. between late Saturday night and early yesterday, stealing a videocassette recorder and cassettes of undisclosed value.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A 17-year-old youth walked up to an automated teller machine in the 4400 block of Park Heights Ave. about noon Sunday to withdraw $10 when a man came up behind him, pressed a hard object against him and said, "I've got a .45, today is Sunday, I'm tired of people playing with me." The suspect took $10 from the victim and forced him to withdraw $10. As he began to walk away, the suspect said, "Don't turn around. I will shoot you in broad daylight." The robbery was observed by a Northwestern District officer, who called for backup. The suspect, 21, was arrested across the street from the ATM and charged with assault and robbery.

Woodlawn Precinct

Theft from auto: Someone broke into a 1992 Mazda parked in the 8500 block of Glen Michael Lane between 8: 30 p.m. Sunday and 2: 15 a.m. yesterday and took a toolbox valued at $75.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen auto: A white 1994 Acura Legend, with Maryland tag 153 AWY, was taken from the 5800 block of Olmstead Road between 11 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. yesterday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: An intruder walked through two open doors of a heating company in the 7900 block of Pulaski Highway between 3 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. yesterday and removed a portable heater.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Someone smashed a window with a concrete block at Drug Emporium in the 1400 block of Merritt Blvd. early Sunday and stole 20 cartons of cigarettes worth about $350.

Towson Precinct

Armed Robbery: A man armed with a blue-steel revolver entered the High's dairy store in the 7200 block of York Road Friday night, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount.

Cockeysville Precinct

Armed robbery: A suspect implied he had a weapon as he approached a man behind the Greenspring Inn in the 10800 block of Falls Road early Saturday and took two bags containing $200 that the victim carried.
