3 Baltimore men are arrested on marijuana counts

February 14, 1997|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

Westminster police arrested three Northwest Baltimore men on marijuana charges after a resident called Wednesday evening to complain of drug sales being made on South Court Street.

Sgt. Andrew McKendrick, a Westminster detective, responded to the call and saw three men leaving the area in a gold Volvo. Later, a car fitting that description was found on Webster Street.

The three returned to the car and drove away, and police stopped the vehicle. After a police dog was brought in, an undisclosed amount of marijuana was found under the front seat and on the rear floor. Police said $400 was in the glove box, and $256 was seized from the men.

Arrested and held at Carroll County Detention Center on charges of possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were:

Kenneth D. Williams, 22, of the 58000 block of Simmonds Road; Larry A. Logan, 26, of the 3400 block of Parkington Ave.; and Dominic A. VanLandingham, 20, of the 3400 block of Menlo Drive.

Bail was set at $20,000 for Logan, and $10,000 for the other men.
