Man accused of stabbing roommate

County police arrested a Severn man Wednesday and charged him with stabbing his roommate during an argument over money.

Carl Joseph Wildeman, 31, of the 1400 block of Maryland Ave. was charged with first-degree assault and using a deadly weapon with intent to injure.

Kenneth Lee Herron, 42, was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center for cuts on his chin and arm and released.

Police said two men at the Maryland Avenue address began fighting after arguing shortly before 11 p.m.

One of the men grabbed a kitchen knife and cut the other on his chin, lower lip and arm, police said. The other man then grabbed a bumper jack and hit his attacker, police said.

Crofton: Someone forced open a side door of a house in the 1800 block of Crofton Parkway between 6: 45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday and stole several pieces of jewelry from a chest of drawers. Police did not have a value for the items.
