Bucknell (14-8) at UMBC (2-19)

Site: UMBC Fieldhouse

Time: 7

Outlook: After a miserable shooting performance in Friday night's 55-46 home loss to Coastal Carolina, UMBC must contend with Bucknell, which has the stingiest defense in the Patriot League and has won four straight and nine of 10 to pull into a first-place tie with Navy. UMBC fell to 1-10 in the Big South Conference after Friday's defeat, when it made 14 of 57 (24.6 percent) attempts from the field. The Retrievers average 55.8 points, compared to Bucknell's 69.4, and shoot 36 percent. Bucknell's defense allows 63.8 ppg. Bison junior G J.R. Holden and senior swing man Gordon Mboya average 16.2 and 15.0 points, respectively. Holden also averages 4.0 assists and 2.3 steals, and Mboya pulls down 6.5 rebounds. Bucknell has won all four games between these schools.

Delaware State (3-16, 3-8) at Coppin State (13-7, 10-2)

Site: Coppin Center

Time: 7: 30

Outlook: This one looks like a mismatch on paper, but the Eagles haven't forgotten that Delaware State took them into overtime last Wednesday before losing, 90-83. Senior F Terquin Mott had 25 points and eight rebounds before picking up his second technical foul with about five minutes left in regulation. Junior G Antoine Brockington had 21 points, helping Coppin rally from a 35-28 halftime deficit. The Eagles are tied with South Carolina State for first place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference after Monday night's 96-66 romp over Howard. Brockington and sophomore F Fred Warrick had 19 points, six Eagles scored in double figures and the team shot 64 percent. Coppin, which has won nine in a row, hopes that senior F Reggie Welch can return after missing the last four games with a broken left hand. Delaware State lost to South Carolina State on Monday, 70-59.

Navy (15-8, 7-2) at Lafayette (8-14, 3-5)

Site: Allan Kirby Fieldhouse, Easton, Pa.

Time: 7: 30

Radio: WNAV (1430 AM)

Outlook: Navy has won four straight and nine of 11 to tie Bucknell for the Patriot League lead. The Midshipmen played their best basketball of the season last week, whipping Colgate, 79-56, and Lehigh, 109-73. Junior G Michael Heary leads the team in scoring (17.6). He has averaged 22.4 points over the past eight games and been named Patriot League Player of the Week three of the past four weeks. Lafayette lost to Bucknell in its last outing, 77-59. Sophomore C Stefan Ciosici leads the Leopards in scoring (13.8) and rebounding (7.5). Navy won the first meeting in Annapolis, Jan. 18, 60-55.
