February 11, 1997

County police arrested a Linthicum Heights man Saturday on charges of stabbing his father after an argument in their home.

Herbert Maurice Hynson Jr., 28, of the 400 block of Hillview Drive was charged with first-degree assault.

His father, Herbert Maurice Hynson of the same address, was in serious but stable condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday.

Police said a man called shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday and asked for a paramedic at the Hillview Drive address.

Two officers arrived and found a man on the porch who told them his father was inside bleeding badly.

Police found the older man suffering from two stab wounds to the neck, police said.

They also found a knife with blood on it on the dining room table and learned that the man had been stabbed during an argument, police said.
