Homeownership workshops, counseling to be offered

The Affordable Housing Alliance Inc., in cooperation with Columbia National Mortgage Corp., will offer free homeownership workshops and counseling assistance -- to give potential home buyers the knowledge and resources necessary to purchase a home -- beginning this month, at Affordable Housing Center, 10320 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, and at other locations in Central Maryland.

Business club seeks new members

Howard County Business Professionals, a chapter of Leads Club, is actively recruiting new members.

The group provides a weekly networking opportunity for entrepreneurs and business professionals to develop a formal client referral system to promote business.

The group meets for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Thursdays at Gringadas Restaurant in Harper's Choice Village Center.
