Loyola (8-11, 5-3) at Iona (17-5, 6-2)

Site: Mulcahy Center, New Rochelle, N.Y.

Time: 4 p.m.

Outlook: By winning four in a row and six of seven, Loyola is 2 1/2 games behind first-place Canisius in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Iona slipped into second place with Thursday's 98-89 overtime home loss to Manhattan, but has won 11 of its past 13. The Gaels are 9-1 at home. Senior F Mindaugus Timinskas, who has been named the MAAC Player of the Week five times, is averaging 20.0 points in his last three games. Junior G John McDonald, who transferred from Loyola to Iona last season, had 14 points Thursday. The Gaels lead the series, 15-5, including an 85-78 overtime win at Reitz Arena on Jan. 8. Loyola junior G Mike Powell is the MAAC's second-leading scorer at 18.9 ppg.

Maryland women (15-6, 6-5) at No. 20 Duke (15-6, 7-4)

Site: Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, N.C.

Time: Noon

Outlook: The Terps, who have lost two straight after six consecutive wins, finish their toughest stretch of the season against the Blue Devils, whom they knocked off, 68-64, in College Park on Jan. 12. Maryland will again be depleted, with just eight players available. G Tiffany Brown needs two three-pointers to grab the school's single season record. C Nina Ohman had a season-high 10 rebounds in the 73-63 loss to North Carolina. Maryland has beaten Duke the last two times, but hasn't won at Cameron in four years.
