United States Sailing Associationappointed Leslie T. White, president of LTW Risk Managers, chair of the Insurance and Risk Management Committee. U.S. Sailing's mission is to govern, promote and represent sailboat racing and to promote the sport through the nationwide efforts of volunteers and member organizations.

Whitmore Print and Imaging,an Annapolis printer, received 13 print quality awards from the Printing Industries of Maryland at PIM's 18th Annual Print Quality Awards banquet Jan. 16. Three of Whitmore's 13 awards were for Best of Category. The Best of Category awards were for packaging and point of purchase materials, perfect bound books, and case bound books. Whitmore won 10 more awards of excellence for process and nonprocess color posters, process color catalogs, calendars and art reproductions and nonprocess color booklets. Information: 263-6660

Jane Rager,administrator for Ear, Nose & Throat, Asthma & Allergy Specialty Group, has advanced to certified member status in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Rager, a registered nurse, has been with the Ear, Nose & Throat, Asthma & Allergy Specialty Group for 15 years. The practice has six physicians, employs more than 50 people and has offices in Glen Burnie, Columbia, Laurel and Odenton.

Fields & Hughes, L.L.C.in Severna Park, has announced that Kelly Smith, CPA, has joined the firm as an accountant.
