Patricia C. Seitz, 66, Baltimore County teacher

Patricia Cassels Seitz, a Baltimore County teacher for more than 20 years, died Sunday of heart failure at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was 66.

Mrs. Seitz moved to Catonsville from Philadelphia in 1948 to attend Goucher College, from which she graduated in 1952. She received two master's degrees from Towson State University, one in education in 1970 and the other in world history in 1972.

She married Donald Henry Seitz in 1954 and was a teacher at Curtis Bay Elementary School from 1952 to 1955, when she stopped teaching until 1967 to raise her children.

Upon her return, she taught at Woodlawn Junior High School and Lansdowne High School. She retired in 1989.

She was an elder at Catonsville Presbyterian Church, 1400 Frederick Road, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today .

In addition to her husband, she is survived three sons, James Robert Seitz of Melbourne, Fla., Douglas Henry Seitz of Catonsville and Bruce John Seitz of San Diego.; a daughter, Stephanie Seitz Hotchkiss of Riverside, Conn.; two brothers, James Cassels of Media, Pa., and John Cassels of Exton, Pa.; and six grandchildren.
