Agents from several law enforcement agencies have arrested four men in a Glen Burnie apartment and seized nearly $200,000 worth of cocaine and heroin, $6,000 and two cars, a spokesman for an anti-narcotics task force said.

Sgt. Randall R. Jones, a member of the High Intensity Drug Traffic Area Task Force, said the arrests about 7: 30 p.m. Tuesday culminated a monthlong joint investigation of a major drug-trafficking organization. The probe involved the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and police from Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties and Baltimore City.

Keith Shaun Highsmith, 32, of the 5700 block of Edgepark Road in Northeast Baltimore was arrested when he arrived at the apartment in the first block of Glen Ridge Road, said Jones, who also is a member of the Anne Arundel drug enforcement unit.

Highsmith was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Arrested in the apartment were three men who were said to be illegal aliens from Colombia and whose identities Jones declined to reveal.

They were charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

"To name them would jeopardize further investigations," he said.

All four men were being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center pending bail hearings before a District Court commissioner.
