Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southeastern District

Bank robbery: A man placed a leather utility bag that he said contained a bomb on the counter at Bay Federal Savings & Loan Association in the 2600 block of Fait Ave. yesterday, then gave a teller a holdup note. But for no apparent reason, the man fled without taking money. The bag contained harmless tubes bound with wires.

Eastern District

Robbery/shooting: A 24-year-old man was in the 1100 block of N. Port St. yesterday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of $30. The victim, who was shot in the right leg when he ran from the scene, was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Central District

Burglary: Computer equipment valued at $3,000 was stolen yesterday from a house in the 1900 block of Eutaw St.

Robbery: A man was waiting Monday for a bus in the first block of N. Howard St. when he was knocked to the ground by three men who robbed him of $20.

Arrest: Andre Anthony Rogers, 14, of the 500 block of W. Preston St. was arrested and charged as an adult with robbing a woman of money and a watch in the 500 block of W. Hoffman St. on Monday. The woman suffered minor injuries.

Northeastern District

Shooting: During a struggle with his father over a handgun, a 21-year-old man was shot in the chest Monday in their home in the 1600 block of Carswell St. The son was in stable condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest has been made and the incident is being investigated.

Western District

Robbery: A man was in the 1000 block of W. Franklin St. on Monday when three men, one armed with a handgun, threw him to the ground and robbed him of $300.

Theft: Appliances, vanities, cabinets and furniture, all valued at more than $6,000, were stolen from a house in the 2500 block of Edmondson Ave. The incident was reported Monday.

Burglary: Tools, a clarinet, compact discs, compact disc player and answering machine, all valued at more than $2,600, were stolen Saturday or Sunday from a house in the 1500 block of Presstman St.

Southwestern District

Burglary: A television valued at $800 was stolen Monday from a house in the 900 block of N. Rosedale St.

North Point Precinct

Burglary/arrest: A 34-year-old woman was arrested after she entered a house in the 3300 block of Old North Point Road on Monday and stole a microwave oven, 13-inch TV and answering machine, all valued at nearly $800.

Theft from vehicle: More than $100, credit cards and a wallet were stolen Monday from a 1992 Hyundai Excel in the 2500 block of Gray Manor Terrace.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Fifty dollars were stolen from the Papa Auto Parts store in the 100 block of Church Lane on Monday. Entry was gained by breaking a glass door.

For the Record

Arrest: Craig Renell Levy, 41, of the 2500 block of Yorkway in Dundalk was arrested Monday in the 3000 block of W. North Ave. and charged with robbing the Signet Bank in the 3200 block of W. North Ave. on Jan. 29. Lt. Larry Leeson of the city robbery squad said Levy was on parole for a bank robbery in Pennsylvania and also was charged with parole violation. He was turned over to the custody of U.S. marshals.
