Braswell scored 20 points to go along with eight steals and three assists in a victory over then-No. 12 Dunbar (67-65). The junior guard also scored 22 points and had 10 assists and seven steals in a win over Northwestern (91-75).

Fraser broke a hallowed record in Baltimore scholastic swimming in winning the 100-yard backstroke in 52.13 seconds as Loyola beat Calvert Hall. The old pool record of 52.75 was set in 1982 by Pat Kennedy. Fraser also won the 50 freestyle.

Vogtman totaled 73 points, 40 rebounds, 15 steals, nine blocks and seven assists in Mercy's five victories last week. The sophomore center scored 19 points and added eight rebounds and four assists in a win over then-No. 2 St. Mary's.

At the end of the school year each player chosen as an Athlete of the Week will be invited to a luncheon Monday, June 9, at the Towson Sheraton, where one male and one female Athlete of the Year will be chosen.
