Police arrest 6 adults, teen in Lothian drug raid

County police arrested six men and a 17-year-old boy on drug charges Friday and reported seizing 14 bags of crack cocaine during a raid on a mobile home in the first block of Bay Front West Road in Lothian.

Timothy Contee, 29, of the Bay Front West Road address; Kevin D. Johnson, 20, and Jermayne D. Johnson, 18, both of the 900 block of Bayard Road in Lothian; James E. Jones, 20, of the 1600 block of Meade Village Circle in Severn; Eric L. Mackell, 19, of the 6100 block of McKendree Road in Dunkirk; and Lydell Tyler, 19, of the 9900 block of Boyds Turn Road in Friendship were charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Contee also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bail information was not immediately available.

The 17-year-old, of Friendship, was charged as a juvenile with the same counts and also with possession of marijuana. He was released to his parents.

Police conducted a three-month investigation of the mobile home after receiving tips that it was being used for drug distribution. Undercover officers bought drugs at the mobile home during the investigation, police said.

During the raid, which started about 9 p.m., officers recovered 5.9 grams of crack cocaine and $1,718, police said.
