There are approximately 3,000 business and residential telephones in Annapolis, Armiger, Severna Park and West River exchanges, which comprise the local circuit. -- Anne Arundel County Kuethe Library files, Jan. 17, 1922.

An explosion aboard steam cutter No. 24 of the mosquito fleet attached to the Naval Academy resulted in two Navy bluejackets being seriously injured and a third, G. W. Hatter, dead of his injuries. -- The Sun, Jan. 21, 1922.

A 34-hour blizzard blanketed Anne Arundel in nearly three feet of snow. It was the heaviest snowfall since 1899, when more than three feet fell. -- The Sun, Jan. 30, 1922.
