The current Spirit players were ignored, but three former team members were voted starters for the 10th annual NPSL All-Star Game on Feb. 9 at the Baltimore Arena.
Midfielder Franklin McIntosh of the Cincinnati Silverbacks and defender Omid Namazi of the Philadelphia Kixx were named American Conference starters, and forward Goran Hunjak of the Kansas City Attack made the National Conference first team.
McIntosh will be playing in his sixth all-star game, Hunjak in his fourth and Namazi in his first.
The coaches will be announced Monday and the reserves late next week.
The other American Conference starters, all of the Cleveland Crunch, are forward Hector Marinaro, the three-time NPSL MVP who leads the league in scoring and will make his fifth consecutive start; forward Zoran Karic, who also will make his fifth straight start; Cleveland goalie Otto Orf and defender Matt Knowles.
Joining Hunjak on the National squad are forward Dennis Brose and midfielder Pato Margetic of the Detroit Rockers, Kansas City defender Wes Wade, St. Louis Ambush defender Daryl Doran of the St. Louis Ambush and Milwaukee Wave goalie Victor Nogueira.
