Police arrested two men on weapons charges Thursday, saying they shot at a car as it sped off from a Linthicum motel.

Kenyo Teal, 22, of the 12600 block of Dulcinea Place in Woodbridge, Va., and Marcellis Lennel Anderson, 18, of the 3800 block of Songbird Circle in Halethorpe were charged with illegally discharging a firearm. Anderson also was charged with possession of marijuana.

Police said officers went to the Motel 6 in the 5100 block of Raynor Ave. shortly after 2 a.m. to investigate complaints of gunfire.

When police arrived, they found two men walking down the middle of Raynor Avenue. They told Officer Todd Powell they had been arguing with someone who was driving a Lexus.

Officer Joseph Dubiel said a witness told him he saw two men arguing with another man standing beside a dark car. When the car drove away, the two men gave chase and one pulled out a gun and fired at the car, the witness told police.

The gunman ran to an area between two fast-food restaurants, then returned to Raynor Avenue, police said.

Dubiel found a .45-caliber handgun in a trash can between the buildings and arrested the men, police said.

Police found a small bag of what later tested positive for marijuana on Anderson, the police report said.
