Man robs Odenton bank, gets away on bicycle

December 26, 1996

An Odenton bank branch was robbed Monday of an undisclosed amount of money by a man who got away on a bicycle, county police said.

The man walked into Elkridge National Bank branch in the 1200 block of Annapolis Road just before 10: 30 a.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money.

The teller turned over the money, and the man fled on the bicycle, police said.

Police found the bicycle later on Oakton Road in Odenton but not the man.

Police do not have a description of the suspect.
