Three men hold up deliveryman in Odenton

Three men, two with revolvers, robbed a Baltimore pizza deliveryman of an undetermined amount of cash Saturday after he completed a delivery in Odenton, county police said.

Mustafa Shafatul Malik, 50, told police he finished a delivery to the 1300 block of Hallock Drive shortly before 10: 30 p.m. and was returning to his car when three men approached. The men had their coats over their heads and two pulled out guns and demanded money, police said.

Malik handed over the money and the men ran.

Police did not have a detailed description of the suspects.

Baltimore man injured in row over dice game

A Baltimore man sustained a cut on the head and a gunshot wound in the leg Sunday during a fight over a dice game in Severn, county police said.

Desmond S. Fisher, 20, was listed in serious but stable condition yesterday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Fisher told police he and an acquaintance were in front of a house in the 1800 block of Arwell Court shooting dice just after 4 p.m. when they began to argue.

The man hit Fisher in the head with a knife from behind and the two began to fight, police said. Fisher followed the man into the house, where the struggle continued.

The man took a shotgun from a closet, shot Fisher and fled.

Police checked the area, but did not find the man.

Burglars take nothing at two Odenton churches

Burglars broke into two Odenton churches Friday and Saturday, but left empty-handed, county police said.

The first burglary was discovered about 1 a.m. Saturday at Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church in the 1200 block of Murray Road after an alarm sounded. Officers found that someone had pushed in the front window, but nothing appeared be missing, police said.

About 12 hours later, workers at Epiphany Episcopal Church in the 1400 block of Odenton Road discovered that someone had thrown a cinder block through a classroom window the night before.

Police found outside the window items that had been in the room, but nothing was missing.
