Howard County police are investigating an armed robbery Friday evening at Wilhide's Flowers in the Wilde Lake Village Center.

About 6: 10 p.m., a man entered the flower shop, took out a handgun and demanded that the clerk hand over cash from the register, police said.

Three employees were in the shop, but no one was injured in the incident.

The robber, who wore a stocking cap and dark clothes, fled with the cash, a police report said.

Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
