Lippy appointed as college trustee

Donald E. Lippy of Hampstead has been appointed by Gov. Parris N. Glendening to the Carroll Community College Board of Trustees.

Lippy will be part of the seven-member board that establishes policies governing the college.

He is part owner of Lippy Brothers Inc., a 10,000-acre grain and vegetable international farming operation. He is active in local, state and national farming organizations and his church.

Lippy replaces William Collins Jr., one of the college's founding trustees, who retired and moved to Virginia.
