100 years ago Keeper Suit, of Greenberry Point light house, at the entrance to Annapolis harbor, reports that wild ducks, attracted by the bright light, have been killed by coming in contact with the station. -- The Sun, Dec. 1, 1896.

Gudd and Melvin, proprietors of the Maryland Hotel, purchased for $5,805 the O'Connell House, formerly the Kaiser House, Church and School streets, Annapolis. -- The Sun, Dec. 2, 1896.

John Branzell, 42, an oysterman of Annapolis, was found frozen in the snow at Sandy Point early yesterday. He was in shirt sleeves and barefeet. -- The Sun, Dec. 24, 1896.
