County police are investigating four burglaries at hair salons from Hanover to Pasadena early Thursday in which thieves smashed windows with rocks and got away with as much as $150.

Police said the first two burglaries, at salons in Odenton and Hanover, might be related, but authorities are not sure about the other two.

The burglaries began shortly after 3 a.m. when someone threw a rock through the front window of Reflections Hair Salon in the 8300 block of Piney Orchard Parkway. The burglar rummaged through a desk but left empty-handed, police said.

About a half-hour later, a burglar smashed the front glass door at Eccentrics Salon in the 1300 block of Dorsey Road in Hanover. There, the culprit got away with $10 in coins and caused more than $200 in damage, police said.

Managers at Hair Art in the 500 block of Benfield Blvd. in Severna Park and Holiday Hair in the 8100 block of Jumpers Hole Road in Pasadena called police shortly after 8 a.m., after they found their front doors smashed.

The thief got away with $150 from the Severna Park store and $100 from the Pasadena store, police said.
