Merry Xce

You may not be the best poker player at the weekly game, but with this deck of cards, you can at least be the most macabre. Playing cards are in the shape of an Egyptian mummy and decorated with hieroglyphics from an actual tomb. ("And no one heard at all not even the chair" is the translation of one.) Cards are 6 inches by 1 3/4 inches, thus fitting into the palm of your hand like a ... yes, like a miniature sarcophagus. Dead servants not included. Will the ancient gods be angered by this sacrilege? Well, you are a gambler, aren't you?

Mummy Playing Cards, $22 (for two decks). Item number 50577, Signals, P.O. Box 64428, St. Paul, Minn. 55164. Or call (800) 556-5714.
