New positions

Westview Mall hires Clark as marketing director

Westview Mall has appointed Robyn J. Clark marketing director. She will have responsibility for the development of marketing plans, advertising, special events, public relations and merchant relations. Clark formerly was general manager of Eastpoint Mall and held a marketing position at Towson Market Place. Monumental Life Insurance Co. appointed Gary Willan vice president of general agency administration. He has responsibility for military, pre-need, corporate and government initiatives. A former senior internal auditor for the state of Maryland and fellow of the Life Management Institute, he is an MBA graduate of Loyola College and a certified public accountant. Provident Bank of Maryland named Janice Williams a community lending loan officer. She is assigned to the community lending department at the bank's headquarters at Calvert and Lexington streets. She will develop affordable-housing loan partnerships and provide homebuyer counseling sessions and seminars.

Formerly with Crestar Mortgage, the Columbia resident is a graduate of Howard University and is active in the Maryland Association of Urban Bankers.

Thompson joins Crestar as vice president, manager

Crestar Bank, based in Richmond, Va., announced that Cindy J. Thompson has joined its Maryland Region Trust & Investment Group as vice president and account manager. She will establish and maintain relations with individuals requiring personalized banking services. Formerly a vice president with First National Bank of Maryland, she resides in Sparks. Alcatel Engineering & Service Center, based in Bethesda, named Stephanie McCullough business development manager. A telecommunications industry McCullough business development manager. A telecommunications industry specialist, she holds a master's degree in international affairs from the Johns Hopkins University.
