The Annapolis/Anne Arundel County chapter of the Public Relations Society of Americater of the Public Relations Society of America has presented its annual Silver Dome awards for excellence in the practice of public relations. The awards represent outstanding performance in the profession. Recipients of the awards included Hospice of the Chesapeake for Media Relations and the Maryland Lottery for community relations. In addition, these officers were elected for 1997: president, Marlene Prendergast, owner of Prendergast Public Relations; president-elect, Rosemary Huggins, marketing director for Anne Arundel County Economic Development Corp.; treasurer, Pam Bowen, vice president of Annapolis Bank and Trust; secretary, Pat Edwards, former executive director of the Annapolis Symphony; trustees, Barbara Butt, vice president of Crosby Communications, Marvin Bond, assistant state comptroller, and Gwen Fink, communications specialist for Shore Health Systems and Memorial Hospital in Easton. Dr. Jonathan P. Forman recently merged his Glen Burnie private practice with Maryland Primary Care Physicians, LLC. He will retain his patients and location while becoming a partner with Maryland Primary Care Physicians. Forman has been in private practice since 1992. His practice includes family practitioner Marianne LaFever and physician's assistant Elizabeth Roche, who will also join Maryland Primary Care Physicians. Forman completed his residence training at University of Maryland Medical Center. He received a bachelor of science degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1973 and graduated from Temple University Medical School in 1977. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Medical and Chirurgical Society of Maryland. He lives in Severna Park with his wife and three children.

Drew Burns received his state insurance license and was promoted to settlement officer at Progressive Title Corp., which he joined in July as a marketing representative. He is based in Progressive's Odenton branch, where he conducts real estate settlement closings.
