Howard County police are searching for a man accused of exposing himself in front of the Baltimore Sports Club in Dorsey on three separate occasions last week.

All three incidents are believed to be related, Sgt. Steven Keller, a police spokesman, said Friday.

In addition, a health club and retail shop in the Normandy Shopping Center in Ellicott City were the targets of an exhibitionist Thursday evening, Keller said. Police do not know if those incidents are related to those in Dorsey, he said.

Thursday in Dorsey, a police report said, a man was seen crouching down on the sidewalk facing the glass windows of the Baltimore Sports Club in the 6800 block of Douglas Legum Drive. He pulled down the front of his dark Spandex shorts and fondled himself while watching an aerobics class, police said.

Similar incidents occurred the two previous nights at the same club.

Tuesday, a man was seen fondling himself outside the club. When patrons left a half-hour later, they saw the man sitting in a late-model blue-green sedan. Witnesses were unable to give a complete description of the man.

Wednesday night, a man got out of his car in front of the sports club and exposed himself in front of the building, police reports said.

Witnesses described him as a 5-foot-7 black male weighing about 200 pounds with dark skin, short hair and a thick gold chain around his neck.

He drove away in a two-door black hatchback after being noticed.

The next night, a man who appeared to be nude from the waist down was seen looking into the front window of the Normandy Health and Fitness club in the 8400 block of U.S. 40, a police report said.

He got into the back passenger seat of a small, dark-blue four-door car and left the area, police said. He is described as a dark-skinned black male standing 6 feet tall and wearing an olive-colored T-shirt.

Minutes later, someone believed to be the same man was observed fondling himself in front of the Tuesday Morning shop in the same retail complex before leaving in a dusty blue compact vehicle, police said.

That man is described as a stocky black male standing 5-foot-7.
