Gunman robs Amoco station

A man armed with a semiautomatic gun robbed a Pasadena gas station Tuesday, county police said.

The clerk at the Amoco station in the 8000 block of Ritchie Highway told police that the gunman walked into the station's convenience store after 11 p.m., pulled out the gun and demanded cash.

The clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of money, and the robber ran out of the store.

Mountain View: Someone broke into a home in the 8100 block of Lea Road through an unlocked window between 7 a.m. and noon Tuesday and stole a pair of diamond earrings, clothing and change, together valued at more than $300.
