Outlook: UMBC and Central Connecticut were tied with 1: 16 left Friday night before the Retrievers lost, 61-52. This is the first of three straight road games for UMBC, whose freshman forward, Isaac Green (11.0 ppg, 6.8 rpg), was named Big South Conference Rookie of the Week for the second straight week. Rutgers sophomore guards Geoff Billet and Earl Johnson lead the team in scoring at 13.0 ppg.

Morgan State (1-2) at St. Bonaventure (2-1)

Site: Reilly Center, St. Bonaventure, N.Y.

Outlook: The Bears got their first win Saturday night, 80-69, over St. Francis (N.Y.) in their home opener, getting 22 points and 11 rebounds from senior forward Scott Deas (15.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg). Senior forward Chris Watson (13.7 ppg, 4.7 rpg) added 19 points. St. Bonaventure won the only previous game between these teams, 94-77, during the 1990-91 season. The Bonnies suffered their first loss Saturday night, 69-67, to Buffalo, which plays Morgan State on Friday. Junior forward Rashaan Palmer is averaging 19.0 points and 6.7 rebounds.

Morgan State women (0-4) at Towson State (4-1)

Outlook: These teams haven't met since 1987, when Towson won, 78-65. Freshman forward Monique Liddell is second in scoring (7.5 ppg) and first in rebounding (6.5 rpg). The Tigers, off to their best start since 1987-88, are led in scoring by senior Trinette Tucker (15.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg). Coach Ellen Fitzkee is seeking her 100th career victory. Towson leads the series, 11-7.
