Westminster man arrested in rape of girl, 15

A Westminster man accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at his home Sunday is being held on $50,000 bail at the Carroll County Detention Center.

Timothy A. Blakey, 30, of the 100 block of S. Center St. was arrested yesterday on charges of second-degree rape, second-degree assault, and third- and fourth-degree sexual offenses.

Blakey was awaiting a bail review hearing in District Court today.

Charging documents said Blakey's wife called officers at 1: 10 a.m. yesterday after the teen-ager talked to her.

Police said the girl told them she was lured to a bedroom to receive a back massage.

Fire

Westminster: Firefighters from Reese assisted Westminster at 8: 41 p.m. Sunday, responding for a house fire on West Green Street. Units were out 45 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters from Pleasant Valley assisted Westminster at 5: 50 p.m. Saturday, responding for a house fire in the 1500 block of Littlestown Pike. Units were out 29 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters from Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester assisted Westminster at 7: 12 a.m. Saturday for a gas odor in the 400 block of N. Center St. Units were out 34 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters from Reese assisted Westminster at 6: 24 p.m. Friday for a carbon monoxide alarm in the first block of S. Bishop St. Units were out 21 minutes.

Reese: Firefighters from Westminster assisted Reese at 7: 24 p.m. Friday for a house fire in the 1800 block of Reese Manor Drive. Units were out an hour.

Police

Westminster: A resident of East Main Street told police Sunday that someone drove onto his property, damaging the lawn. Damage was estimated at $100.

Westminster: A resident of Cape Sable Drive told police Friday that someone scratched his vehicle while it was parked at Cranberry Mall. Damage was estimated at $300.
